Darkrypt is a Dark Death Metal band based in Mumbai, India. Almost seven years since their 2016 debut album, guitarists Mihir Gaikwad and Rishabh Ravi return with Darkrypt’s second album titled ‘As Fate Draws Near’. 

The esteemed Finnish artist Turkka G. Rantanen (Demilich, Adramelech, Demigod, etc..) has once again created Darkrypt’s album artwork as well as the art design for the t-shirt. 
With the legendary Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Bloodbath, etc.) on mixing & mastering duties, this album musically expands upon the sound of ‘Delirious Excursion’, their first album, but with much stronger black metal influences

Lyrically, the album deals heavily with themes of fate, destiny and free will, while drawing some sci-fi/horror influences ranging from BioShock to Blade Runner to George Orwell’s 1984.
